100 Backpack Project

During VBS, we will be collecting school supplies for school children in Camden, NJ.  Our goal is to donate 100 backpacks full of supplies.

Supplies will be given to two organizations: Due Seasons Charter School, and the South AfterSchool Program of Urban Promise Ministries.

Due Seasons Charter School is a K-8 public school.  It is the only US location in which non-church-affiliated Royal Ranger and Mpact clubs meet.  These programs are run independently of the school by Keith and Mary Carpenter, employees of the school.  Donated supplies will bless both the club members and other children in the school.

Urban Promise Ministries seeks to “equip Camden’s children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth and Christian leadership.”  For over 20 years, Urban Promise has been on the front lines of ministry to the young people of Camden, New Jersey.  The South AfterSchool program is directed by Michael Andrejczyk, a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.

You can help by donating unopened school supplies for individual children including…

  • Backpacks* (most needed)
  • Pens, pencils, crayons
  • Rulers, compass
  • Writing paper, Notebooks
  • Scissors, Pencil boxes
  • Cash donations accepted

Thank you for helping ‘at risk’ kids in Camden.  Your taking action shows the love of Christ in a very practical way.

Marlton Assembly is a registered 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  If you would like a letter for tax purposes, please give us a copy of your store receipts along with your name and mailing address.
